Nine to 12 year old | Experienced level
This level is for a swimmer who can swim freestyle with rhythmic breathing for 50 yards, swim backstroke for 50 yards, swim breaststroke for 25 yards, perform a dolphin kick, and a scissors kick for 25 yards, perform a dive off the wall, and tread water for at least 1 minute. Swimmers will learn: freestyle swimming with rhythmic breathing (100 yards), backstroke (100 yards), elementary backstroke (50 yards), sidestroke (50 yards), breaststroke & butterfly (25 yards), flip turns & glides at the wall, circle swimming, standing dives from the diving block, and pike & tuck surface dives. Swimmers will also learn safety skills like: recognizing an emergency, how to call for help, what is CPR and an AED, survival swimming, ocean swimming safety, and treading water (five minutes).
