Explore the exciting world of musical theatre through dance! This class introduces students to fundamental dance styles and techniques that bring Broadway to life. Perfect for beginners or those looking to refine their skills, participants will learn choreography inspired by classic and contemporary musical while building confidence, coordination and stage presence. This year's program features all new material and choreography, so even return students will have a fresh and exciting experience! Students should bring a water bottle to each session.

Dance shoes:

• Jazz shoes (recommended): Black or tan slip on jazz shoes for comfort and ease of movement
• Character shoes: optional for advanced students, especially high schoolers
• Sneakers: clean, non-marking sneakers are acceptable if students don't own jazz shoes, especially for beginner

Clothing:

• Tops: fitted t-shirts, tank tops or leotards (no loose or baggy shirts to ensure proper movement evaluation
• Hair: pulled back and secured away from the face (bun or ponytail)
• Accessories: No dangling jewelry for safety reasons
• Bottoms: Jazz pants, leggings or dance shorts with tights (no jeans or skirts as they restrict movement and unsafe for turns and leaps
