Learn to Swim * Sunday mornings

Nine to 12 year old | Novice level

This level is for cautious and/or inexperienced swimmers. Swimmers will learn to front & back float (unassisted), freestyle with rhythmic breathing (10-15 yards transitioning to unassisted), backstroke (10-15 yards transitioning to unassisted), fundamentals of dolphin kick, breaststroke kick, scissors kick, and elementary backstroke, and streamline gliding off the wall (5-10 yards). Swimmers will also learn safety skills like: forward movement in deep water while assisted (5 yards), how to call for help, how to help other swimmers in trouble, and treading water (1 minute).

Please note: The pool temp is cooler (80 degrees) due to swim team competitive season running concurrently with lessons
