Swimmers will learn freestyle swimming with rhythmic breathing for 50 yards, swim backstroke for 50 yards, swim breaststroke, butterfly, and sidestroke for 15 yards, introduce flip turns at the wall, perform a shallow/angle dive off the wall, and tread water for (at least 2 minutes). Swimmers will also learn safety skills like: recognizing an emergency, how to call for help, what is EMS, how to perform reaching and throwing for safety, survival swimming, cold water safety, and treading water three minutes).
