Learn to Swim * Sunday Mornings Nine to 12 year old | Intermediate level This level is for a swimmer who can float on their front and back unassisted, can swim unassisted freestyle with rhythmic breathing (15 yards) backstroke (15 yards), dolphin kick (five yards), breaststroke kick (five yards), scissors kick (five yards), and elementary backstroke (10 yards), streamline gliding off the wall (five -10 yards), and tread water (one minute). Swimmers will learn freestyle swimming with rhythmic breathing for 50 yards, swim backstroke for 50 yards, swim breaststroke, butterfly, and sidestroke for 15 yards, introduce flip turns at the wall, perform a shallow/angle dive off the wall, and tread water for (at least 2 minutes).
