  • Beginner Band Camp (Entering Grade 5)

    Beginner Band Camp Entering Grade 5 Instructor, Gretchen Chilson, Chris Moore and local professional musicians This camp is designed for students who are new to a band instrument. In large ensembles and through small group instruction, students will learn how to put the instrument together, how to care for the instrument, how to make great first sounds, and how to prepare musical selections. This camp is strongly recommended for beginning students. Students who cannot attend should plan to sign up for Jump Start Lessons or take private lessons on their instrument.     Day Camp at Voyageur Environmental Center Entering Grades K - 6 This week will be a fun outdoor camp experience - not far from home! Each day will include activities such as archery, canoeing, outdoor living skills, fishing, field games, swimming, arts and crafts, team building, hiking and more! This unique opportunity will take place at Voyageur camp, a year-round environmental education center located in Mound. Campers will need to bring their own bag lunch, two snacks, water bottle, swim suit, towel, sunscreen and bug spray each day. More camp information will be emailed out to parents closer to the start of the camp.     Broadway Bootcamp: Dance for the Stage Entering Grades 5 - 12 Instructors, Jamie Harms, Middle & High School Director/Choreographer assisted by Cerisa Bray, Middle School Theatre Assistant Student Choreographer Explore the exciting world of musical theatre through dance! This class introduces students to fundamental dance styles and techniques that bring Broadway to life. Perfect for beginners or those looking to refine their skills, participants will learn choreography inspired by classic and contemporary musical while building confidence, coordination and stage presence. This year's program features all new material and choreography, so even return students will have a fresh and exciting experience! Students should bring a water bottle to each session.
