Harmony Bridge Camp (Entering Grades 6 & 7)
Harmony Bridge Camp Entering Grades 6 & 7 Instructors, Gretchen Chilson, Chris Moore and local professional musicians Band students with one or two years of experience are invited to join us for Advanced Band Camp, which is an extension of our school year extracurricular Harmony Bridge program! Students will received small group and full band instruction to improve their musicianship and independence while learning popular and well-known music. New and returning Harmony Bridge students are welcome whether or not you plan to join us for the field trips during the school year (learn more about the nationwide movement at harmonybridge.net) A concert will be held Friday, August 21 at 11:00 am for family and friends. Jump Start Band Lessons Entering Grades 5 & 6 Instructor, Lucy Davis Do you have a student who will be participating in band for the first time this Fall, but can't attend the Westonka Middle School Band Camp? Our Jump Start programs is a great alternative! Students will engage in four one-on-one lessons on consecutive days to get a head start on their instrument. Instruction will focus on how to take care o the instrument, read music notation and make first sounds on the instrument.
